Nigeria tourist visa:
- Photocopy of a round-trip airline tickets or itinerary.
- Photocopy of confirmed hotel reservation.
- Evidence of sufficient funds such as a photocopy of a bank statement or a letter from the bank.
Minors must submit copies of their birth certificates showing the names of both parents and a joint letter of consent.
and for Nigerian business visa:
- A letter on company letterhead addressed to the Embassy of Nigeria, Visa Section, Washington DC, signed by the company executive, stating the nature of the business, companies to be visited, guaranteeing sufficient funds.
- A letter of invitation from the host company in Nigeria.
or for Nigerian visitor visa (visiting relatives or friends):
- Resident aliens inviting friends must submit copies of their resident permits and the first 3 pages of their passports.
- Aliens married to Nigerians or invited by Nigerians must submit copies of their hosts' or spouses' passports and letters accepting responsibility.
- Children of Nigerian parents must submit copies of the first 5 pages of both parent's passports.
or if traveling for religious purposes:
- Approval from the ministry of internal affairs, Abuja, Nigeria must be submitted.
